Information for all Assessments
Student Schedule: Rampart will have a testing schedule for each of these days, April 14- 16 Students that are testing, should arrive no later than 7:45 am on their test day. All Students will have classes from 12 noon until 2:55 pm on these days. Specific schedules are towards the end of this document.
Registration: All students are automatically registered for PSAT 9, PSAT 10, SAT and CMAS
Cost: No cost to students or families.
CMAS, PSAT and SAT Purpose: These state-mandated assessments provide feedback about students' current achievement levels and offers guidance for increasing college and career preparedness. The PSAT-9 and PSAT -10 follow the format of the SAT. The SAT is given junior year and is used by post-secondary institutions for career and college readiness assessment.
Testing Locations: RHS Classrooms- Lists will be posted on or before April 10, 2020 near the main office or the LMC.
How results are used by RHS/ State/ Colleges: Summary results are shared with administrators, faculty, counselors, and parents. Student specific-results are shared confidentially with administrators, faculty, counselors, parents, and students. Assessment results may be used to enhance student performance. Families may choose to send their SAT results to colleges and share information with College Board.

Other Important Notes:
The RHS LMC will be CLOSED ALL DAY on April 14 – 17th (including after school).
Prohibited Items: All cell phones and smart devices, including watches and fitness trackers,
will need to be turned off and surrendered to test proctors for the entire test time. These items will be returned to students upon completion of testing
Students need to Bring:
Students will need to bring a Scientific Calculator, or Graphing calculator for PSAT-9, PSAT-10, and the SAT. Calculator Applications on a cell phone are not permitted. For a list of approved calculators, students may check collegeboard.com or the student guide they will receive on March 16th.
Students may wish to bring a snack, water, or extra calculator for testing. Snacks and beverages may only be consumed during breaks.
Snow Day and Delay Contingencies: Please visit the RHS website for information in the
event of a delay or school-cancellation. We will be working with District 20 Administration, Colorado Department of Education, and College Board for changes due to weather, if the need arises.
OPT-OUT Information: In accordance with the Academy School District policy (IKA-R), the parent/guardian of a student enrolled in the district may request that his or her child be exempt from participating in one or more state assessments.
To Opt a student out:
- The request for exemption must be submitted by email to the SAC, Kyle Chamberlain at kyle.chamberlain@asd20.org. Include the student's legal name, grade, and test to opt-out of. All emails requesting a student to opt-out should be sent by Friday, April 10.
- The parent/guardian will not be required to state the reason for asking for the exemption.
- The request for exemption may apply to all or specific state assessments administered to the student during the school year.
- A request for exemption will be valid for one school year. Requests for exemption from state assessments in subsequent school years require a new written request.
- Parents/guardians are encouraged to submit their requests for exemption at the earliest possible date each school year so that the district may plan accordingly.

RHS 11th grade CMAS testing (Science) Schedule
The assessment consists of three 50 minute tests and will be delivered consecutively in one 3.5 hour session. Students do not need a calculator - there is one in the online test.
Wednesday, April 15: Juniors with last names A – M will test. Blue day
Thursday, April 16: Juniors with last names N – Z will test. Gold day
CMAS Schedule:
