Volunteering

Volunteers play a pivotal role in student success. While Volunteers do not assume the responsibilities of school staff, they can help tutor, read, chaperone, and do other similar activities in the classroom and on campus. Volunteers are alumni, extended family members, and community members. From elementary to high school, we value the time and special talents of volunteers and welcome them into our family!

In addition to helping teachers, we also have volunteers who help coaches, library staff, office staff, and after-school clubs. If you have a particular skill or expertise, mentoring a group of students with similar interests or abilities can provide an opportunity for you to do something you love while passing on your knowledge to the next generation.

Get started with the application process at ASD20.org and watch our Volunteer Orientation video when you've completed the application process. Contact Cheryl Whittaker with any questions.

School Accountability Committee (SAC)

Join our School Accountability Committee (SAC) to stay up to date on all that’s new in education at the state and district level.

The SAC ensures the ongoing excellence of the educational process at RHS and fulfills the Colorado Department of Education requirements for budget, site plans, accreditation and school safety. SAC members are elected for two-year terms at the Back-to-School night in August/September. Interested parties are welcome to attend, however only SAC members may participate.

Rampart Community Organization (RCO)

The RCO is the organization for all parents to discuss RHS ideas, and issues, support school activities and find volunteer opportunities.

A Voice for Our Community

This group provides parents an opportunity to ask questions, share ideas and raise concerns about our high school. Guests also provide information about current educational issues or programs in the district or the building. We are committed to supporting the staff and students at Rampart High School by:

  • Providing a means of ongoing and organized communication between parents and staff, and

  • Providing a quarterly forum for discussions with school administrators concerning topics relevant to the safety and education of the students.

RCO Events

  • Craft Bazaar: Held every November on the Saturday before Thanksgiving Break. The Rampart Craft Bazaar is the major fundraiser for the RCO. The money raised is given out as grants to teachers. Our craft bazaar is well known throughout the community and is eagerly anticipated. Download and print the application to get started.

  • Staff Craft Bazaar Grants:  During early January teachers are offered the opportunity to apply for mini-grants to support the educational activities at Rampart High School.

  • Staff Appreciation Luncheon: Every year, during National Teacher's Week, the parents at Rampart High School provide a luncheon for the Rampart Staff. This is just a small way to show how much we appreciate all they do for our children. We rely on parent volunteers to make this a special event.

  • After Prom:  The purpose of After Prom is to provide Rampart students with a safe, fun, alternative to engaging in risky behaviors on prom night, It takes place after the prom at The Summit. Juniors & Seniors are not required to attend prom to attend After Prom! RHS parents have sponsored this all-night party for over 20 years. Please join us in planning and funding this awesome event.

  • RCO Meetings: Meeting times and locations vary. Please check with the principal's secretary or the Rampart Newsletter for the actual location. Interested parents are always welcome!
