Taking an Advanced Placement (AP) class provides students an opportunity to experience a college level course, and they can earn college credits with a passing AP exam score. AP classes offer students rigorous instruction at a national level while requiring students to meet a higher level of responsibility.
AP students are required to read and sign the following contract to ensure they understand and are responsible to:
Immerse themselves in rigorous reading (textbooks are college level texts)
Engage in work that may include--but is not limited to--independent reading, writing, frequent quizzes and tests, research and projects.
Seek help when needed by consulting one's study peer/group, parent, or teacher and attend tutorial sessions when offered.
Take the corresponding course exam in May.
